Message from the Chairman – Stavros Nicolaou
Quality Delivery

As we rapidly head towards the Festive Season, it’s a good time to reflect on the past years’ achievements and equally to look forward to the year that lies ahead.
The South African economy continues to be punctuated by many successes and a sound platform has been laid from which we can begin to look towards growth levels accelerating beyond 4%.
The South African aviation industry is an important component to achieving our country’s growth objectives and remains a significant contributor in many of the high growth sectors, such as tourism.
South African Express Airways is at the heart of this growth and to this end continues to expand its routings, further capacity development and increased focus on delivering customer service excellence.
During the past year, we confirmed our leadership status in the domestic market through increased frequencies between Johannesburg-Bloemfontein, Johannesburg-Kimberly, Johannesburg-George, East London-Cape Town and introduced new services between Durban-East London, Durban-Port Elizabeth and Cape Town-Port Elizabeth.
Our employees at South African Express Airways have a positive philosophy, in that instead of letting things happen, they make things happen. Making things happen this year, has amongst others, meant giving our customers wider choice, reach and travel flexibility, by flying to more cities and towns and increasing our frequency rate. This underlying commitment to our customers is espoused in our philosophy of more flights and enhanced value for you, our customers.
In underscoring this philosophy, I need to pay tribute to our employees, who continue to focus on excellent customer service delivery and ensuring that “you, the customer, are king”. We remain highly proud and appreciative of their QUALITY DELIVERY, integrity and teamwork.
Looking ahead to 2006, we anticipate that the New Year will be an exciting one for our country and equally for South African Express Airways. We will continue to bolster our brand to coincide with these exciting times, through further development of innovative ideas, continued focus on QUALITY DELIVERY and customer service excellence and enhancing business relationships with partners who share a common value system and philosophy to ours. To this end, we are strategically pursuing various plans, which we believe, will further enhance our Airline’s market presence and further consolidate our position as a regional airline of choice.
We wish to take this opportunity of thanking you for your immensely valued support over the past year and we look forward once again to providing you with the same excellence in customer service in 2006.
