To Whom It May Concern
I want to take this opportunity to thank SA Express Airways for creating a lifelong memory for my youngest son, Marnus (age 8).
Marnus had to go for a medical check (2nd opinion) in Johannesburg and since we reside in East London I decided to fly. This way we could get to our destination in a short time and present the ideal opportunity for my son to experience his first flight. I booked on SA1412 (return flight number) on 21st February 2006.
Marnus is a very active boy with 10 questions for all things he sees and experiences. Not only did the flight crew take it upon themselves to assist him, but they also patiently answered all his questions, providing him with so much information that he now wants to become a pilot!
The snacks and beverages were also excellent and I was forced to take a ‘plane bag’ home so he could go and show his friends at school what he had on the plane.
Thanks to SA Express for creating a lifelong memory for my son and me, and be assured that I will fly with you again.
Johann Olwagen
East London

Dear Johann, I have included an extra pen for your son Marnus. I hope he feels better soon.
Regards, Editor

Dear Nicola
Some time back all of my flights for business were booked through a travel agent. Nowadays I book my own business flights on the Internet. It is so quick and easy. It has also made me aware that it is a lot cheaper and safer than travelling by car. I now only fly to my destinations.
By using the Internet it allows me to compare prices for planned early bookings, etc.
Thanks!
Mervyn Goddard, Port Elizabeth

Sir/Madam
I’m a frequent flyer between Bloemfontein and Johannesburg. I would like to express my sincere admiration for your ground staff at Bloemfontein airport, especially Eugene.
There’s nothing as gratifying as hearing someone addressing you by your surname. Eugene is always ready to assist and he handles the pressure of his work very well.
This dedication can only be attributed to the relationship between the employer and the employee. Keep up your good work.
Regards, Mandisa Ntuli

Hi Ladies
A quick note to say thank you and well done! I had the pleasure of reading your in-flight magazine while flying with SA Express flight on Saturday morning.
I felt the magazine was a treat; I liked the style of the copy, finding the mix of the articles – homely endorsements of your Fleet Captains and more elitist overviews of champagnes and other ‘swanky’ pursuits – to be well balanced.
I liked the style of writing and found the magazine intelligently written, in an engaging yet easy to read way. I feel the publication did not take itself to seriously, often one feel a “hype” spilling out the pages of in-flight magazines - which I did not discern when reading yours.
I hope receiving this compliment brings you as much pleasure as I had reading your magazine
Best Regards, Ivor Goetsch

Ongeveer 10 minute later nader ‘n netjies gekleede man in ‘n South African Express uniform my. Hy is meneer Daniel Mojaki en gee aan my ‘n selfoon. My selfoon!!!
Groete, Rian Perold

Impressed by Service
Praise for the Walvis Bay Airport crew. The staff of Walvis Bay Airport has been – once again – most cooperative with regard to the matter of my ‘missing luggage’, which remained in Johannesburg overnight.
The poor lad (Neil van Wyk) who returned the case to my residence on the second floor the next day – a task that I would hardly have managed on my own – was most polite and friendly. The tip which I offered and which I believe he really deserved was politely declined, stating that it was “part of our service.” I was most impressed by his attitude.
If only such excellent service could become the norm. As a well-known German proverb states “he who praises will forget to allocate blame.”
Dr Ina Wykowski, Swakopmund
